Guam Safety Tips
- Purse snatching and theft of personal property can happen anywhere including Guam. Keep your belongings close at all times.
- Avoid leaving bags in rental cars. Place all personal items in in the trunk and not in view.
- Look left crossing roads. Cross only at crosswalks and follow the signal. Cars may not yield to pedestrians and turn right on red.
- Please do not leave your child unattended, especially at crosswalks.
- Guam nightclubs can admit guests starting from 18 years old but the drinking age for alcohol is 21. Please bring a photo ID with proof of age.
- Use the safety deposit box in your hotel room to store your passport and valuables.
- Wear sandals on the hot beach. Wear marine shoes when walking on reefs. Do not walk near the edge of the reef. Big waves can come suddenly.

Guam Sightseeing
GUAM’S SCENIC SPOTS
Historical landmarks, coupled with the natural beauty of Guam, offer numerous sights of interest. Latte, which served as foundation pillars for the thatched huts of the Chamorros, are found in parks and out-of-the-way jungle areas. FORT NUESTRA SENORA DE LA SOLEDAD
One of the last Spanish Forts constructed in the 19th Century in support of the Spanish Galleon trade. Sitting on the cliff just to the South of Umatac, Fort Soledad has a commanding view of the Bay and all approaching oceans.
LATTE STONE PARK
This interesting historical park dates back to 500 AD when the ancient Chamorros built their houses on stone pillars known as lattes. The park is a site of intense natural beauty as well as historical significance.
TALAFOFO FALLS PARK
Probably the most famous waterfall on the island of Guam, the grounds along majestic Talofofo Falls have been transformed into a park great for a picnic or to just relax and take a refreshing swim in the pool just below Talofofo Falls.

INARAJAN (INALAHAN) VILLAGE
A restored village from the early 1900’s and home of Gef Pa’go Chamorro Cultural Village.
PLAZA DE ESPANA
Home to the governor’s palace during the Spanish period, the Plaza de España is a favorite site for visitors. Although most of the palace was destroyed during WWII, three structures are still standing – the three-arch gate, the Azotea (or back porch) and the Chocolate House.
FORT APUGAN
Fort Santa Agueda, the only surviving Spanish fort in Hagåtña, sits atop Apugan Hill on the western coast of Guam. The fort provides a commanding view of the capital village of Hagåtña and the Philippine Sea.
ASAN BAY OVERLOOK
This picturesque overlook provides visitors with virtually the same view the Japanese had of Apra Harbor as U.S. Forces arrived on Guam. The site, where U.S. Marines landed on July 21, 1944, contains guns, caves, pillboxes, and 445 underwater reef and relics.
DULCE NOMBRE DE MARIA CATHEDRAL BASILICA
The Cathedral-Basilica serves as local landmark and is home to a community of parishioners. It is also a place where Guam’s visitors embrace the island’s rich Catholic history and identity.
INARAJAN NATURAL POOL
For rugged beauty and photo appeal, Inarajan pools has the most intriguing geology. Natural bathing spots surrounding a public park. Tropical fish and other creatures can be observed in their natural habitat. The calm water is a perfect place for snorkeling.
LATTE OF FREEDOM
This monument is located atop a stone point overlooking Asan and Agana bays and is located just behind the Governor’s offices.
GUN BEACH
Located on the northern end of Tumon Bay, this picturesque beach is a favorite spot for snorkelers and divers. The site is also home to The Beach Restaurant & Bar.
