May 26, 2019
Forget your boring old tour van or tour bus, Ride the Ducks Guam is the most family fun you’ll ever have; the most highly recommended sightseeing optional tour on land or sea; and an exciting, unique land and sea sightseeing tour adventure. It feels like a Walt Disney ride.
Your tour vehicle drives like a bus and then drives right into the ocean and floats! The “Ducks” from Ride the Ducks Guam are open air amphibious sightseeing vehicles built using modern technology and safety equipment, supervised and recommended by the United States Coast Guard.
Combine the fun of an amusement ride with the insights of a guided tour on this experience that is sure to keep everyone in your party, young or old, entertained. Riding around in an amphibious vehicle, travel through the streets of Guam and into the ocean, learning about the island’s culture and history along the way.
The tour is fun, interesting and educational, with a multi-language audio system in English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and Russian. A wacky, zany, crazy ride that’s inexpensive and fun for the entire family. Adults and kids even get to steer the boat!
Wait, before you book: Ride the Ducks Guam tour operates rain or shine. This is a semi open air vehicle; you may possibly get wet from rainy weather conditions. Roll down rain screens make this tour suitable for any kind of weather. If Ride the Ducks Guam is unable to provide the water portion of the tour due to weather and/or ocean conditions, there will be no refund.
There is no charge for infants below age two, but infants must be included in your reservation due to Coast Guard regulation.
Your adventure begins at the SandCastle Guam where you will board your “Duck” and be given a free “quacker.” First-come, first-seated. Seating together with your party is not guaranteed, so please check in 30 minutes before departure time. (Reserved seating available for an additional fee.) Make sure to use the restroom before you arrive as there are none on board for the duration of the 90 minute tour.
You’ll ride through Tumon past Ypao & Alupang beaches to Apra Harbor.
This is the highlight of the tour, where the ducks splash in and cruise the harbor. Weather & seas permitting, kids and adults will have a chance to steer the boat.
Then tour historic Hagatna, where you’ll see:
- The new Guam Museum (Department of Chamorro Affairs) opened in 2014. You’ll want to come back to visit the extensive collection depicting over 4000 years of Guam history.
- Dulce Nombre de Maria Cathedral Basilica, a majestic Roman Catholic cathedral known for its enshrined 17th-century statue & stained-glass windows. It is the seat of the Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Agaña.
- The War in the Pacific National Historical Park in Asan, with former World War II battlefields, established in 1978 in honor of those who participated in the Pacific Theater of World War II.
